John Harding Lucas, a nationally recognized educator, former Hillside High School principal and past Shaw University president
Cora Cole-McFadden, a staunch community advocate for the homeless and youth populations of Durham and Durham m
Dallas "Gabby" Sturgis, the daughter of Micheal and Sheree Sturgis is attending Johnson C. Smith University as a freshman. Her parents and grandparents accompanied her on August 9, 2013 for registration and decorating her dorm room (see picture). Dallas was rewarded with scholarships from Radcliffe PRESBYTERIAN Church and the Presbytery. She is planning to major in Business Management.
DURHAM — Arona McDougald Parker of Durham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on July 20, 2013 at the Jefferson Manor in Louisville, Kentucky. Up until her brief battle with cancer she lived independently at Atria Springdale in Louisville, Kentucky, where her motto was to perform a good deed each day.
