SHC Alum puts smart money on students’ sound financial decisions

Scholar alumna Tiffany Lee, who graduated in December with honors in finance, is applying her financial know-how in looking at college costs as she pursues a master's degree in higher education administration at Penn State.

When it comes to money, Tiffany Lee is golden.

The Schreyer Scholar hopes that her honors thesis, which looked at the dollars and cents of a Penn State degree, may someday be the basis of a financial management session offered to students during their first year at college. Tiffany’s thesis examined changes to financial aid, enrollment and tuition and analyzed their effects on seniors at Penn State’s University Park campus.

While she graduated in December, Tiffany isn’t quite ready to bring her Penn State experience to an end. With the start of the spring semester, Tiffany is enrolled as a graduate student studying higher education administration. She hopes to apply her financial know-how to help make college more accessible to low-income students.
