Penny Jeanine Daniel, 54, of Wilmington, NC died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her home. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave.

Penny Jeanine Daniel, the daughter of the late Eddie Louis Daniel and Ozie Bell Mitchell Daniel, was born on January 28, 1960 in Fort Benning, Georgia. On Sunday, May 4, 2014 God’s angels came from Heaven and took her to be with her Heavenly Father.
Penny received her high school education at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She then continued her education at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She graduated from UNC-G with a Bachelor of Science Degree on May 10, 1981. After graduation she returned home for a period to care for her ailing mother and younger brother. Penny began work with the Amtrak Railroad System in 1990. She worked at various Amtrak locations. Penny retired from her Amtrak position in 2005 and moved to Wilmington, North Carolina.
After moving to North Carolina, Penny joined Rehobeth AME Zion Church in Clarkton, North Carolina. Later, due to her declining health, Penny began to attend church services at Shoulders Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Castle Hayne, North Carolina. She enjoyed the Wednesday evening Bible Service very much.
Penny was a very loving and caring individual. She loved her two brothers very much and would go to great lengths to let them know of her unwavering love. Penny enjoyed being “Aunt Penny” and would call her nieces and nephew often to see how they were doing. She loved all of her family and would call them many times during the week to check on them despite her declining health. Her neighbors describe her as bei
