In a private ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, Oscar "Mackie" Blanks, III and his fiancé, Kina, were married on February 28, 2014, in the groom's Law Office, Whiteville, NC. The marriage was performed by Rev. Dr. Judy Johnson. Valeria Peacock served as Maid of Honor and Daniel Adams was Best Man . Family members in attendance: Bernard Goins, Angela Lee and Sharon McMillian-Phifer. Oscar's mother , Carolyn Blanks ( who is in Birmingham, AL recovering from injuries from a fall ) and his sister , Tonya Blanks Perry, were able to view ceremony via Face Time, as well as bride's mother.
